There is so much to look forward to this summer.  We are well on our way to creating a vision for Foster Green - engaging in conversations, house parties, planning business networking parties, steering committee meetings, and the newest addition to the community engagement project starts this week: door-to-door outreach with the Portland Enrichment Project.

The Northwest Institute for Community Enrichment's Portland team is partnering with the Foster Green EcoDistrict this summer and will host college and high school age interns to do door-to-door outreach through a program called "Summer of Solutions".  This program engages residents through a survey and personal challenge that connects people with resources in the community.  The challenge includes opportunities to get involved in the EcoDistrict activities, take classes at local organizations, or take personal actions like increasing recycling or reducing car trips during the week.

We are happy to partner with the Northwest Institute for Community Enrichment (NICE) and the Portland team this summer.  This week is launch week, where the fun begins and lasts for 8 weeks.  If you'd like to take the survey/challenge or if you know of a business that would like to get involved, please contact Nathan Jones (nejones7@gmail.com).
